Daniel F. So Dan provides business law services to our franchise clients. He received his law degree from the University of Victoria and his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. Dan's practice is restricted to Franchise and Intellectual Property Law. Dan represents franchisors, franchisees and franchisee associations. Dan has spoken and written several articles on the subject of franchise law for the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Franchise Association, and he is an official speaker for North America's largest franchise show series. Dan is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association’s Legal and Legislative Committee, and he travels across Canada to provide seminars to franchisors, prospective franchisors and franchisees. Dan has written a best-selling book on franchise law in Canada, released in December of 2005. Dan is devoted to the local community, where he is an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law in the University of Western Ontario, an instructor of Business Law at Kings College at the University of Western Ontario, an instructor at Fanshawe College, and an advisor to Fanshawe College's International Business Program. Dan also serves on the board of directors of both Orchestra London and the Chinese Canadian National Council. In his spare time, Dan is an avid sailor, having competed in international regattas in most of the world’s oceans. |
Michael Lake Michael received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1977. Michael has extensive experience in all areas of real estate development, corporate and commercial law, and business and franchise law, with a focus on commercial real estate. Michael provides invaluable leasing and commercial law services to our franchise clients Michael has lectured at York University, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, the Ontario Bar Admission Course and the Canadian Bar Association Annual Institute. He was previously local Chair of the Canadian Bar Association, Real Estate Section. |
Kevin Egan Kevin received his law degree from the University of Western Ontario, and practices in civil and commercial litigation, employment and labour law, and administrative law. He additionally specializes in franchise litigation, and provides our franchise clients with litigation services. Kevin is an active participant in the community and has served on the boards of several local charities. He is a founding director of London Safe Communities--a non-profit corporation committed to reducing injuries in the community. Kevin is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Kevin brings to his clients an extensive business background in business ownership as well as management experience in national corporations. |
